Manufacturing Test Development Engineering Lead, Machine Learning

The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience. In this role, you will lead the deployment of test infrastructure with the responsibility for understanding new product introduction (NPI) program test strategies, developing and managing test development schedules, managing test development budgets, and execution of test development. You will be well-versed in the manufacturing environments and will lead test development engineering teams to ensure products test infrastructure are designed, developed, and deployed on time into our partner factories. Coordinate dependencies across internal teams and external partners. + Manage capacity, budget, schedule, and risks for manufacturing test development projects, and alignment with NPI program schedules. + Lead manufacturing test development teams through planning, development, and deployment of test solutions to support volume manufacturing. + Drive communication with stakeholders for test development status via reviews and dashboards; work with design engineering teams on DFT and to manage dependencies for test development. + Develop technical documentation used for product test strategies, test plans, and test processes.
