Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Technician I at Middletown, Pennsylvania 17057.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tResponsible for optical connector assembly, termination of various configurations of fiber optic cable assemblies, and testing of these cable assemblies.\r\n\tThese positions will also assist in process development and resolution of problems encountered in the process of bringing new optical products from concept to market.\r\n\tOther duties will include operation of fiber router & completion of over-molding process. Termination of various standard fiber optic termini as well as new termini designs.\r\n\tSupport prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds.\r\n\tMechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop, identifying issues,\r\n\tclearing faults and acknowledging machines states.\r\n\tAssist in the estimation process step durations.\r\n\tAssist in setting up new manufacturing processes.\r\n\tSuggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies.\r\n\tCommunication within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction.\r\n\tSoldering & PCBA Assembly skills for the following: Wire Harnesses, Connectors, Passive\r\n\tComponents (Resistors, Capacitors, etc.), IC (Integrated Circuits).\r\n\tUse of Fiber Optic & Electronic Test Equipment: Optical Power Meters, IL/RL Test, Oscilloscope,\r\n\tDMM (Digital Multi Meter), Variable Power Supplies, Variable Attenuators, Optical & RF Switch.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (flexibility).

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

The Ideal Candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCompleted High School or equivalent.\r\n\tPreference 2 years of experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment but not mandatory.\r\n\tMust have good time management skills to work on numerous projects simultaneously.\r\n\tAttention to Detail (following BOM’s, Routers, and, understanding drawings/prints).\r\n\tProficient Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Payrate Range in Between - $20- $21/hour

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
