Electro-Mechanical Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The role involves the fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment. This position requires adherence to flight drawings, procedures, quality standards, and internal training.

ResponsibilitiesFabricate and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly and flight Ground Support Equipment.Assist engineers in manufacturing and testing flight/prototype hardware and developing test infrastructure.Document assembly and test procedures.Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance teams.Ensure production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner in collaboration with facilities and maintenance teams.Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood.Essential SkillsProficiency in electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience in production and assembly, including soldering.Current Solder, Harnessing/Crimping certification to J or NASA-Standards.Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures.Experience operating both electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools.Experience working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other commonly used chemicals in manufacturing.Work Environment

The position is based in a clean room environment. The project involves working on the IROSA satellite for NASA. Full benefits, including a 401k plan, immediate vacation time upon signing, and an 8% yearly performance-based bonus, are offered. Note that holiday or vacation is not provided for contract employees at any level.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
