Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

Join an innovative Microbiology Division where you will contribute to the production of impactful products in a manufacturing setting. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the production process of agars, ensuring quality and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to the Supervisor or Lead.Set up and adjust machines to run at different sizes.Obtain correct materials for operation needs from the warehouse or staging area.Organize production flow, ensure materials are available, estimate progress, and schedule breaks according to the production time schedule in a safe manner.Document work accurately, check for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with inventory processes.Accurately dispense required additives to media, perform techniques for achieving proper pH balance, and investigate potential production failures.Follow all written procedures, report discrepancies in SOPs and DHRs to the Area Supervisor, perform all activities safely, and wear personal protective equipment as required.Report property damage and safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist, or Management immediately.Complete production assignments in a timely manner according to departmental schedules.Sign off on DHRs and fill in pertinent information according to SOPs.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing and production, with knowledge of GMP.Experience with staging and production support.Understanding of inventory processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.Proficiency in basic math.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 600 lb. wheeled kettles.Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours a day.Ability to see and distinguish colors.Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory or cleanroom setting, operating during the 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The company is willing to train individuals with minimal experience or those with a science AS or BS degree.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.17 - $19.17/hr.
