**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity for a **SMT Line Manufacturing Supervisor** in our **Hughes Network Services** division. This position will be located at our office in **Germantown, MD** . **Responsibilities:** + Manage SMT Process development team including coaching and mentoring, hiring, performance management and development + Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines + Lead operations interface with design teams to review manufacturability/testability and develop/document a thorough production process plan early in design process + Develop and debug the required process and program to be used for production build + Responsible for optimizing the production process for maximum throughput with minimum labor cost + Provide on-going support for production process enhancements as needed to ensure high quality and the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing thru put. **Basic Requirements:** + Bachelor's in manufacturing engineering, related field or combination of education and experience + 5+ years of experience + Previous experience in SMT process development **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong engineering skills, with detail understanding of multiple manufacturing lines (Surface Mount Technology) + Experience with recruiting, hiring and retaining teams + Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills + Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality, and productivity improvement.
