MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Manufacturing SSHE Senior Asst. Manager will be responsible for landing the SHE & Security Agenda by developing, facilitating and implementing programs that will bring compliance to Unilever SSHE Standards, SHE related Legal compliance and OSH UMS.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safety, Health and Environment
Develop SHE Programs in consultation with stakeholders through UMS methodology.Ensures SHE programs are implemented in coordination with Sub-SHE Committees and Operations team.Activate and Coordinate the Sub-SHE Committees of the site (i.e. Machinery, Chemical, Combustible Dust, Electrical, Material Handling Equipment, Boiler, Contractor, Safety Culture & Wellbeing, etc.)Acts as Safety Pillar Lead of UMS OSH implementation.Ensures Safety, Environment and Security Data Reports are submitted on time, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Support Environment Pillar Lead in ESRS Compliance (European Sustainability Reporting Standards)Lead the SSHE Governance Reviews of the SiteActs as the e-MOC Coordinator for the e-MOC SHENetEstablish Objectives and Key Initiatives that will improve SSHE performance and culture.Supports in the development and implementation of a SHE management system that meets both Philippines SHE laws (including OSH Standard and other relevant legislation of BFP, DENR, DOLE, etc) and meets Unilever Global SHE Policies & Standards.Develop and implement a robust Emergency Response organization, and emergency response procedure/plan that details into Unilever’s emergency response processes and Business Continuity plans. Ensure drills covering the different types of SHE risks (e.g. Typhoons, Earthquakes, Fires) are regularly conducted and learnings applied back to continuously improve performance.Completion of risk assessments related to SHE hazards.Facilitates Incident Investigation.Lead SHE Projects from Concept, Design, Implementation, Execution and Closure.Ensure SHE online system (SHENet, e-MoC) hygiene and compliance.Drive digital transformation of SHE – Making Safety data, insights, trends visible and actionable to drive safety compliance and cultureEnsure compliance to all applicable SSHE legislation Unilever SSHE Policies and Global Standards.Measure sites’ performance against published requirements in SSHE policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.Analyse safety metrics and review weekly and monthly incident trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources for Risk Mitigation.Perform frequent Site SHE audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site.Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injuryEnsure Competency in SSHE aspects for all workers on-site (management, blue collars and contractors)Facilitates trainings on OSH related aspects, prepares and updates the training materials.Ensure that the maintenance of SSHE equipment is performedAudit the workplace organization and staff behaviours to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.Ensure that the Safety Responsibility Matrix is implementedEnsure Contractor management safety processes are implemented.Prepares the SSHE Annual budget and ensures spending within forecast.Part of signatories in the Permit to Work system as part of the Competent Person pool.Security
Perform as the Site Liaison Security Officer (LSO) Ensure Compliance to Physical Security & Camera Common Standards Conduct Site Security Risk Assessment & Execute the Gap Action Plan Coordinate with the Site 3P Security – Align the policies, procedures, processes, contracts and KPIs to the Unilever Security Standards Lead Site Level Investigation for Security IncidentsPROFESSIONAL SKILLS

University degree in science or engineering or equivalent industrial experienceQualifications required by local regulatory authoritiesExcellent knowledge of Unilever and SHE StandardsGood knowledge of Manufacturing and Process SafetyInfluencing skillsGood observation and auditing skillsPreferred
If college undergraduate, he/she must have at least ten (10) years relevant experience in occupational safety and health.Completed 40-hr Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training Course as prescribed by the Bureau.Completed 40-hr Loss Control Management Training Course as prescribed by the BureauAdvanced degree in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental SustainabilityOSH Practitioner or Consultant

Essential
Experience in Supply Chain operationsManufacturing and/or Engineering experienceProven track record of analytical thinking and project managementPreferred
