This company is a world leader in designing and manufacturing interconnect and mechanical products. They are searching for a Manufacturing Process Engineer who will develop, evaluate, document, and support existing and new manufacturing processes to facilitate efficient production, throughput, and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a foundation in wet chemistry principles, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProactively monitor and investigate production anomalies in photolithography, photochemical etching, and material cleaning processes to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact efficiency, quality, or safety.\r\n\tActively participate in and lead the setup, sampling, and validation of new etching production equipment and processes.\r\n\tCalibrate existing manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure consistent performance and product quality.\r\n\tDocument procedures, work instructions, and risk management plans for etching processes, adhering to PFMEA, Control Charts, PPAP documentation, and APQP guidelines.\r\n\tContinuously improve existing production programs to minimize equipment downtime, maximize productivity, and enhance quality using problem-solving tools like 8D, A3, PDCA, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.\r\n\tIdentify and recommend production equipment, assisting in supplier selection to optimize process efficiency.\r\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and streamline processes.\r\n\tPartner with customers to design and dimension etched products for optimal functionality and manufacturability.\r\n\tDevelop tooling and processes to enhance production throughput, including feeding or guiding elements, material handling equipment, and production support equipment components.\r\n\tAssist production personnel in setting up and debugging new applications and resolving etching production issues.\r\n\r\n\r\n

What Do You Need To Be Successful?

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor's degree (B. A.) in engineering from four-year college or university.\r\n\t2-5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\n\tMinimum of 2 years’ experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation.\r\n\tCAD (computer aided design) experience preferred.\r\n\tAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\r\n\tAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.\r\n\r\n\r\n

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most work is performed on the manufacturing floor with some laboratory and cleanroom settings, which may involve exposure to chemicals. All areas are typically well-ventilated and equipped with safety equipment to protect workers from hazards. However, it is essential to follow safety protocols and exercise caution at all times to minimize the risk of exposure.

This is a full-time career opportunity in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Salary is between $85,000 and $100,000 per year

\r\n\r\n
