Job Description
We are seeking an Engineer in Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering to join our team. This role focuses on driving excellence in new product development projects through LEANPD, improving existing manufacturing technologies, and implementing new manufacturing methods to enhance process and tolerance control.
ResponsibilitiesDrive for excellence in LEANPD driven new product development projects.Implement new manufacturing technologies to improve process and tolerance control.Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effective and efficient collaboration.Support product development in optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, including realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards.Document all processes and tooling in applicable systems (e.g., SAP, TLM).Support supply chain in verifying supplier compliance and capability.Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time.Maintain and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.Essential SkillsStrong impact in LEANPD driven new product development projects.Thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function, such as CAD, CAE, and industrial or quality engineering tools.Thorough knowledge of general engineering tools, including DoE, FMEA, and QFD.Deep technical knowledge of the product domain.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with extrusion processes.Knowledge of Lean methodologies.Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).Work Environment
This position is contracted through the end of December 2025 due to the site closing at the end of the year. The extrusion lines are being moved to another site.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
