What you will do-
The Master Production Scheduler establishes and maintains the site Master Production Schedule for all areas and oversite of raw material inventory levels. The established Master Schedule must be feasible and ensure that adequate capacity exists (buckets and actual true capacity) to meet requirements for specific products and options in time periods relevant to the customer. This role assembles the master schedule based upon the business, shipment, inventory, and production plans and serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Engineering, Supply Planning, Production, receiving inspections and shipping departments.
Master Production Scheduler will be the point of contact for capacity and scheduling for the Arlington FacilityMaintain a valid two month rolling Master Schedule for the manufacturing siteParticipate in Supply Plan development and in establishing planning time fences for aggregate Supply Plans and for detail Master SchedulesCreate the site Master Schedule by translating the Supply Plan into a schedule for producing or acquiring discrete parts, materials and services and ensures Master Schedules are produced and communicated on time. Manage Master Schedule Compliance at or above 95% for assigned finished goods, end items or optionsUnderstand products lead time and monitor aged work order through the production floorCommunicate schedule misses with supply planning and adjust production schedule as requiredPartnering with operations to minimize change overs and maximize outputCoordinate and direct recurring scheduling meetings to review key metrics (such as Supply Planning Accuracy), resolve issues and ensure follow up on actions. This could include re-prioritization and expedites as requiredMonitor raw material required to achieve production schedule and escalate components shortage to purchasing teamPartnering with purchasing team to monitor materials to meet operation needsUtilize hypothetical scenarios to evaluate proposed Master Schedule changes to determine the impact on parts, materials, efficiency and capacityWhat you need-
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and/or 6 years of equivalent work experience - requiredMinimum of eight (8) years’ experience in production/planning/scheduling work experience in a supply chain related field - requiredPossess a strong understanding and awareness of the principles of extended Supply Chain management and fundamentals of Supply Chain design and strategyProduction and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsERP systems and computer software experience (e.g. JDE, AS400, Excel, etc.)Travel Percentage: 10%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
