Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Special License/Certification Required: PIT certificate, Crane certificate, general assessments test, O.L.R. trained, and advanced Flexo training.

SAFETY
* Work safely goal "0" accidents = "0" RIR = "0" LWD
* Meet plant goal of 3 safety engagements each month per employee - 100% employee engagement

* Participate in all safety activities. (Revisions of SWP\u2019s, JHA\u2019s, HazRAC\u2019s, safety audits, near miss reports, safety alerts, toolbox topics, STOP cards, STEP cards, etc.)
* "Hands Up" when starting the machine
* Participate in team meetings and training
* Adhere to all LOTO/ ESP procedures
* PPE is required throughout the production areas, the warehouse and when coming or leaving the production areas. Refer to PPE policies.
* Before each shift it is required to inspect the P.I.T.\u2019s and fill out the inspection report. If a problem is noted, report this to the immediate supervisor or the lead operator to be repaired or taken from service. Refer the SWP on PIT operations.
* Complete crane inspections before each shift.
* When operating the cranes, always inspect the load and make sure there is no one in the path of the moving cylinder. Make sure the area is always clear until the print cylinder or anilox has been delivered to the destination. Never walk or allow work to be performed underneath a suspended load.
* Report all injuries, unsafe conditions and/or acts to lead operator or immediate supervisor
* Use the roll pushers whenever possible to move rolls. This helps reduce back strains. Refer to SWP.
* You must always use the cart caddy to move cylinder carts. Refer to SWP.
* Learn and abide by all SWP\u2019S/ JHA\u2019s and HazRAC before performing tasks.
* Must attend Tool-Box Topic before the start of each shift. See Opr/ Supervisor.

QUALITY
* Assist in meeting yearly CONQ goal of 0.10% or less of sales per MSF (or less) in claims.
* Meet plant goal of 1 quality engagement each month
* Participate in watching the web and the monitoring of the BST
* Make sure that the PH and viscosity checks are completed on every roll or every hour and are documented. Report any changes to lead operator.
* Stay up to date on the C pro training for all job-related tasks
* Make sure every roll has every roll has been physically measured for the width of the roll and has been documented.
* Ensure that the COA\u2019s are filled out correctly for each job and turned in on time.
* Always check the paper grade and the size to the job docket
* Make sure that all adds made to the inks are documented. Flint must be notified before making any adds to the inks.
* Use ink filters.
* It is every team member\u2019s responsibility to check over the tear sheets and inspect the web during their shift. You must sign your name on every tear sheet ran by your team verifying that you have compared the sheet to the signed sheet. If you see something that does not look right to you, please notify the lead operator. Maybe you have seen something that was overlooked.
COSTS
* Reduction of rewind rolls and/or internally rejected rolls.
* Assist in reducing the overall waste of the plant to 4.6% through monitoring of the web and making the correct decisions.
* Blade changes - ensure blades and seals are installed correctly
* Reduce core costs by reusing cores when available, also at the OLR
* Reduce ink costs by monitoring inks and notifying operator or Flint when issues arise
* Ensure that plate costs are kept under budget per month, through plate cleaning, safe handling and storing sleeves in their correct locations when a job is completed
* Utilizing set up rolls and free paper
* Marking edit rolls correctly and ensuring that all the reject product is removed from the shippable roll
* Performing productive pre-make ready, make ready, set ups and performing secondary activities, on both machines
