Description:Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for the Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for ultraprecision CNC machined. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for leading the early career engineers on the team. You will be the deputy leader for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will leverage your technical skills to identify and mitigate risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to support the objectives of the Machining Operations Center
• Deliver verbal and written project status of milestones and progress.
• Communicate project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
• Prioritize tasks to ensure the team is progressing in the right direction
• Represent the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
• Assist in the development of proposals
• Coordinate shopfloor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline
• Effective project management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience working with cross-functional groups
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems and issues as they arise
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools
• Fundamental understanding of CNC machining
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.
• SAP and Apriso experience
• Windchill PLM
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Proposal development experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
