Manufacturing Engineer II

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. You will add value and expertise to the business by sustaining support by identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare or suggest improvements in the process.
· Participate in the daily GEMBA walks and observe for risk behaviors.
· Coordinates Interns in order to develop a plan and meet the goals for SOS (Standard Operation Sheets) and SCS (Standard Combination Sheets)
· Support New introduction and Transfer Projects
· Works with supplier to request quotes
· Creates fixtures and poka yokes for the manufacturing line.
· Determine production capacities.
· Maintain routings, bill of material, process diagrams, time studies and product documentation to support ISO 9001 standard.
· Participate on Generate Cost Savings (material, labor, overhead) by leading and implementing Productivity Projects
· Reduction of down time (increase uptime)
· Follow up/generation EWR’s and ICMS.
· Propose KAIZEN events.
· Main contact for the site for NPI and Transition Projects
· Creates and establish procedures according to engineering process.
· Knowledge in PFMEA , Flow charts documentation
· Responsible for PFMEA Go and See Activities
· Oriented to Continues Improvement process
· Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control
· Coordinate equipment maintenance improvement and repairs based on data analysis
· Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation and repair
· Knowledge in technical aspect such: PLC, Vision System, Pneumatic and Hydraulic processes
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Knowledge in projects based on timing and milestones
· Problem-solving skills
· Good information technology skills
· Commercial awareness
· Excellent communication skills
· Knowledge of equipment for purchase, installation and repair

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelors Degree in Engineering English level advanced written spoken 3+ years of experience in related position
