Job Description

On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bowling Green ASSY on a full-time basis.

The Role:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for facilities to join our team and drive innovation & safety across the site. In this role, you will serve as the champion for multiple key safety system elements and have daily interaction with those outside of your immediate work group including other departments/functions as well as on-site contractors. You will use your engineering knowledge and experience to provide day to day guidance and to develop & manage projects for facility and manufacturing applications.

Champion for Workplace Safety Systems - PS06 – Safety Contract ManagementChampion for Workplace Safety Systems - PS01 – Confined SpaceFunction as the Local Business Administrator for MaximoDevelop cost, timing and drive execution of projects related to facilities and manufacturing equipmentSupport day to day facilities maintenance issues by providing oversight and technical guidanceDevelop long term plans & business cases for facilities NPP projects utilizing ACAP & GPRLead development & execution of advanced technology projects supporting facilities & manufacturing applications

 

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field (Mechanical preferred)5+ years industry experience in manufacturing, maintenance, project management, or similar role.Demonstrate high level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to solve technical problemsAbility to work alternate shifts and/or weekends as driven by project/assignments

Experience in design & maintenance of facilities related equipmentExperience with GM asset management, procurement, and safety systemsProficient user of MaximoProficient in GM financial systems (SAP, Ariba)Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing)Experience with collaborative roboticsExperience with G-comply & G-risk processes
