Job Description:

SUMMARY

Develops manufacturing processes that achieve maximum process and cost efficiency while achieving performance and quality standards.  Determines cost and routes for new product and maintains current products records structure to ensure effective control of documentation.  Assures operational readiness; determines factory capability, workflow, space requirements, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify opportunities for and implement improvements in current practices and processes and work with team to develop/maintain continuous improvement culture and awareness.Conduct product and process flow analysis and implement improvements for costs, productivity and quality.Direct and coordinate the engineering support to implement, plan, develop and organize product areaDrive the development and implementation of the safety policies and quality policiesDrives application of the ITW Toolbox & Root Cause Corrective ActionDevelop assembly machine parameters and maintain standard set up sheets for each part number on the machines, along with troubleshooting problemsFollow up on quality reject meetings by addressing immediate quality issues an develop systems to prevent future occurrencesResolve issues related to personnel, profitability, quality, growth, etc.Conduct machine safety reviews along with identifying and ensuring preventative maintenance on automated equipment for continuous improvementWork with manufacturing and automation personnel to improve quality and efficiency on the production floorAssist with new product design process to ensure ease of manufacturabilityParticipate in manufacturing and automation projects, including creating and updating PFMEA documentsSubmit capital requirement and justifications to managementOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience required3+ years related work experience requiredGood mechanical aptitude along with good computer literacy and skills requiredExperience in injection molding strongly preferred3D CAD systems knowledge required, Solidworks preferredKnowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles are a plus

Compensation Information:

$80k - $100k
