Manufacturing Engineer
Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for a TOP TECHNOLOGY COMPANY in Suffolk County, NY!

Job Description

Design, develop, analyze, and implement manufacturing processes in collaboration with Tier 1 suppliers or Distribution Centers. Lead teams to identify root causes and resolve manufacturing and quality issues. Drive day-to-day manufacturing operations and New Product Introduction. Support various operational groups in cost reduction projects for Mass Production and New Products Introduction. Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost using Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 as frameworks.

ResponsibilitiesLead, implement, and validate Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 maturity levels with Tier 1 suppliers or Distribution Centers.Drive process improvements using LSS and Industry 4.0 tools, such as Line Balancing, Continuous Flow Line Layout, Point of Use, 5S, TPM, OMS, Cross Training, CTQ, PFMEA, Automation, and Digitization solutions.Conduct LSS & Industry 4.0 audits to measure maturity levels and identify opportunities and gaps.Work with internal and external teams to analyze and improve processes, focusing on root cause analysis and eliminating re-occurrences.Manage Engineering Change, Deviations, and MFGO processes by evaluating impacts, risks, and material dispositions.Review and approve work instructions and validate the correct implementation of approved manufacturing processes and parameters.Ensure production BOM is accurate and aligned with Agile references.Drive cost reduction project implementations with cross-functional teams.Manage asset, fixture, and tool development, fabrication, validation, and management.Review and update Labor and MVA Models.Make and implement recommendations to improve process capabilities for Mass Production and New Product Introduction.Develop positive relationships with other engineering disciplines and functions to solve problems and implement innovative solutions.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Distribution Centers, or Lean Six Sigma.Proficiency in enterprise-wide tools such as Creo, Agile, and Windchill.Experience working with EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) companies.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.Proficiency in process improvement and manufacturing processes.Experience with automation.Strong knowledge of Process/Industrial Engineering and Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.New Product Launch and Project Management experience.Experience with Process FMEA, Control Plan, and Error Proofing implementation.Creating cost models and performing feasibility analysis.Working knowledge of project payback analysis and financial justification (ROI).Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical role.Proficiency in MS Office software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).Knowledge/Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Experience in Medical Devices, Personal Care, Consumer Electronics, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.Green Belt certification is a plus.Work Environment

Cubicle work environment within a large company, covering testing on products with power supplies against UL and worldwide test standards. The large, updated facility includes many amenities such as an atrium, cafeteria, and gym. The work environment is fast-paced, with very helpful and amenable colleagues. This role offers great exposure to various products and the opportunity to work with team members.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
