Job Description
As a Dynamics Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve complex manufacturing and engineering problems daily, at both a systems and specialized level. You will play a crucial role in connecting production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, and lead production on the assembly line as well as new production introductions. Your expertise in dynamics testing of spaceflight hardware will support test development and execution of shock and vibration testing on both production and development spaceflight hardware. Additionally, you will be responsible for advancing technology for test capacity, including the introduction of new test methodologies and hardware, and scaling existing test capacity.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop production processes and technical data, including defining, testing, validating, documenting, and deploying new test procedures, work order routings, bills of material, and test report structures.Troubleshoot performance issues with key dynamics test systems.Investigate, specify, and onboard new dynamics test system hardware to expand factory capabilities and capacity to execute shock and vibration testing on spaceflight hardware.Collaborate with operators and oversee critical test operations, spending significant time in the test lab.Perform self-directed work such as reviewing test data, developing new test plans for new products, and researching new test capabilities.Participate in meetings, contributing to discussions and planning.Essential SkillsFamiliarity with Low-Rate Manufacturing Environments and New Product Introduction.Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc.Experience with Aerospace Dynamics testing, particularly SMC-16 Acceptance Test Protocol Testing for spaceflight hardware.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP or similar ERP software.Experience with NX Unigraphics or similar CAD software.Proficiency in Python Programming Language.Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab.Work Environment
This is an onsite position located in Redmond. Most of the time will be spent in the lab, collaborating with operators and overseeing critical test operations. About 25% of the time will be spent in meetings, with the remaining time dedicated to self-directed work such as reviewing test data, developing new test plans for new products, and researching new test capabilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00
