Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

• Act as a liaison between Engineering product development teams and Manufacturing

• Be a member of the new product development team, ensuring efficient and effective transfer of product designs to manufacturing

• Support continuous improvement through the use of Lean principles to drive quality and productivity improvement projects

• Participate and drive New Product Introduction activities by providing a comprehensive list of documentation and schedule requirements for new products released to manufacturing

• Work with engineering teams to create and support IQ, OQ & PQ processes and required documentation of New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Develop production tooling using SolidWorks CAD software

• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve quality, and increase productivity in a safe and cost-effective manner

• Provide daily production sustaining and support for existing products

• Test and recommend new equipment, processes, and technologies to produce optomechanical and electrical systems

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Winter Park, Florida.

Work Environment

Onsite, flexible start times, 8-5 core hours. Hands-on with the floor, interacting with operators. Team includes 2 manufacturing engineers and 1 manufacturing engineering tech. Interfaces with quality. Ensure no line stoppage. 54,000 sqft building, 20,000 sqft manufacturing area. Air-conditioned. Open concept with pool tables and cafeteria.
