Manufacturing Controller - Rolling Stock

As the largest passenger Rolling Stock manufacturer in the United States, we are expanding our footprint by building an advanced manufacturing and rail services facility on a 200-acre site in the proclaimed "Barbecue Capital of the World". Building on some of the latest technologies in our Sacramento Rolling Stock and Rail Customer Services factories, the new facility will include robotic welding, 3D printing, Virtual Reality weld training, and software tools to enhance our manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Controller will support the manufacturing operations and act as a business partner to the Head of Manufacturing in Lexington. In this role, you will be responsible for creating transparency and driving productivity in the factory and improving efficiency in the Performance Controlling department. This position reports to the Head of Operations Controlling for Rolling Stock North America.

What your day-to-day will look like:Leads manufacturing accounting activities including developing accounting processes consistent with the business, deploying standard processes, and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies.Ensures that financial and operations reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provides reliable information necessary to advise management and control the business. Develops and monitors budgets for multiple cost centers.Monitors operating expense controls and makes recommendations to ensure achievement of cost-savings and continuous improvement measures. Develops and maintains appropriate key performance indicators.Plans and controls capital investment budgets.Owns the planning and coordination of financial analysis to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction including operating results analysis, short and long-range forecasts, and annual business plan activities. Leads teams and personnel within finance and accounting functionsTo thrive in this role, you have:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required, CPA and/or MBA preferred Prior experience (10+ years) in a project manufacturing environment required, with excellent leadership, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of cost accounting, controlling, internal controls, and GAAP required, Understanding of IFRS preferred In depth working knowledge and experience in ERP/MRP systems and SAC Planning Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC, is $146,400 - $172,200, and the annual incentive is 15% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
