Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to lead and manage the front office treasury team (themself plus four team members) providing treasury services and advice, ensuring the provision of liquidity to Group companies and businesses (Iron Ore Brazil, Copper Chile and Peru) in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety, Health & Environment
Set the safety, health and environmental expectations for your team and monitor behaviour so that it meets the required standards
Participate in relevant safety audits, inspections and observations, and address issues as part of demonstrating safety leadership.
Performance & Delivery
Lead, manage and develop the Latam Treasury front office team.
Manage Treasury front office to Treasury operations relationships in Brazil, Chile and Peru.
Act as the key link between the Latam business and the corporate centre for Treasury related activities and matters.
Act as senior treasury representative in the Santiago office, supporting Chile Treasury community, supporting all treasury colleagues in the country.
Manage and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders within the Latam businesses incl. business CFOs.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with local and international banks to ensure strong execution of financial transactions and ongoing financing support to the Group.
Provide advice and commercial input to Latam businesses (Iron Ore Brazil, Copper Chile and Peru) on treasury related matters such as cash management, internal and external debt arrangements and financial risk management, including the arrangement of bank guarantee lines, reviewing received guarantees and assisting Supply Chain on contractual review of working capital and payment terms.
Providing these services in accordance with the Group Treasury Policy and overseeing and assisting in the execution of the resultant financial market transactions.
Coordinate and manage the negotiation of suitable new internal and occasional external loan/ credit/ guarantee facility agreements to meet the liquidity requirements of businesses and the Group, as well as ensuring the proper investment of surplus funds.
Coordinate with operational business Finance and Supply Chain teams for input to present IFRS16 lease approval requests.
Manage and monitor financial counterparty limits, with reference to their balance sheets, versus the exposure requirements of the businesses.

Participate actively in compliance training, promptly declare any relevant conflict or GEH items and apply the Anglo American Group Code of Conduct and other relevant Group policies and ensuring adherence by the front office team.
Monitor periodically the changing regulatory landscape for impacts on treasury activities and support existing trade and risk reporting processes
Qualifications
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, Association of Chartered Accountants, Association of Chartered Managagement Accountants, Chartered Financial Analyst, MBA or equivalent finance/business relevant qualification.
Knowledge
Demonstrated experience as a Finance or Treasury specialist/dealing role for a multi-national organisation.Strong understanding of Treasury, credit, risk management, and international money markets
Demonstrated experience in delivering finance-related projects.
Skills
Experience executing daily treasury transactions on behalf of businessDeep understanding of the mechanics of financial products, wording of agreements, pricing and execution of the transactions thereof
Expertise of the financial markets.
Negotiation of bank financing and guarantee documentation.
Credit risk management.
Budget preparation and monitoring.
Define plans, forecasts and reports to inform the business and drive stakeholder activity
Apply Governance and Compliance knowledge within the business to mitigate risk and identifies new ways to assess adherence
Apply project management techniques to manage large and complex projects and ensures changes are embedded into business as usual process
