The PwC Deals Strategy team is part of PwC’s global Deals practice and we support companies, investors and governments in their assessment of key strategic issues. We often collaborate with our Transaction Services, Delivering Deal Value, Business Restructuring, Corporate Finance and other PwC colleagues to bring in the sector expertise, holistic insights and broader deal support to our clients.

Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) is one of the leading sectors in our Deals practice. We have a market-leading position in the Netherlands having completed 44 successful TMT transactions in 2021 alone. Our team is growing quickly, and we are looking for strategy professionals to join us through the next phase of our journey.

Responsibilities

You will work with a wide variety of large and mid-tier private equity clients, as well as corporate clients undertaking Merger & Acquisition investment opportunities. Your work will be a mix of transaction-related (commercial due diligence, synergy assessment, pre and post-deal value creation) and strategy development (growth strategy, market entry and initiative prioritisation). You will report directly to one of our Strategy directors and be an integral member of our Deals TMT team.

You will work on client projects in teams of varying sizes and often across other PwC competences and advisors as well as geographical boundaries. As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Typical duties include:
 

Leading a team of consultants and taking responsibility for project deliveryRunning projects on a day-to-day basis, managing the work streams and supervising deliveryCoordinating with key project stakeholders including clients and other internal teamsPlanning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of workLeading interviews with customers & market expertsContributing to conclusions and supporting other senior team members in presenting insights to the client based on factual and independent research and data analyticContributing to the wider business through business development, knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring junior team members and other activitiesPlaying an important role in the further development of the team and of the TMT practice

Requirements

We are looking for talented professionals that have a strong personal drive to take the next step in their career. Your key characteristics:
 

You are a professional with 5-8 years of strategy consulting experience from either a strategy consulting firm, Big 4 firm, or experience in the strategy department in a corporate environmentDirect experience of managing strategy and commercial due diligence assignments for private equity or corporate clients, with the ability to act independentlyStrong technical skills in:Market and competitor analysis (market sizing, excel modelling, multi-source data triangulation, drivers and dynamics, competitive intensity, etc.)Customer analysis (management of customer surveys, data segmentation & analysis, customer journeys etc.)Internal analysis (capabilities, business model review, financial assessment)You have some knowledge and strategic experience within TMT industries, with passion/interest in further developing the sector expertiseYou have a university degree in business administration, science, engineering or related discipline. An MBA is not required, but is considered an assetYou are analytical, commercially minded and you have good communication- and social skillsYou are a team player and have developed your leadership skills in your current roleYou have a good command of English (both spoken and written). Fluency in another (European) language is considered a plus.
