LinkedIn is hiring a Manager, Strategic Finance, to partner with leaders in our Member & Customer Success organization – a strategic Finance leader who is adept at advising and influencing key leaders on business growth, investment tradeoffs, resource management, organizational structure, and strategic direction.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial forecasting for Member & Customer Success (MCS) teams and partnering with key leaders as their strategic financial advisor. You will own the development and operational excellence of headcount and expense forecast models, as well as partner x-functionally with Sales, Product, HR, Marketing, Central Finance teams, etc., to ensure the financial and operational rigor of the business. You will play a central role in decisions affecting our go-to-market strategy as we accelerate company growth and success at scale. Your finance, strategy, and accounting expertise will enable you to identify and mitigate issues before they arise to safeguard the integrity of financial models. As a pivotal partner to the MCS teams, the clarity, energy, and results you deliver will be visible across the Global Business Organization’s leadership team. This role reports to the senior manager of strategic finance and is a part of the broader monetization strategic finance function on LinkedIn.
This is a high-impact role with extensive leadership exposure. A strong candidate would be able to think independently, partner with MCS leaders and their teams to identify opportunities for growth and leverage, articulate their financial business case, ensure accountability to impact, and influence partners across LinkedIn to shape new ideas for driving more efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Financial Performance Management:
+ Support financial performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating expense and headcount models and forecasts, developing improvements for key metrics, and analyzing risks and opportunities in meeting targets.
+ Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address highly complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.
Strategic Thinking:
+ Identify new opportunities for growth and/or leverage and lead strategy development with business partners.
+ Validate and execute complex pressure testing of growth and leverage opportunities.
+ Provide guidance and support to partner teams to operationalize ideas and develop plans for execution.
Stakeholder Influence:
+ Communicate implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) and implications of internal/external factors to management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive action.
+ Leverage insights and data to develop narratives to influence stakeholders.
+ Synthesize problems and communicate points of view to drive alignment and decision-making on key priorities.
Execution & Organization:
+ Independently partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics-oriented perspective and driving the development of large workstreams, projects, or operational processes.
+ Serves as a resource for stakeholders to answer a wide variety of complex questions.
+ Proactively identifies obstacles and recommends solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 5 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3 years of experience in the technology industry.
+ 2+ years in strategic finance or similar functions
+ Excel modeling skills and competency in Word and PowerPoint
+ Strong systems skills with a preference toward Hyperion (Essbase), Oracle Financials, and/or Salesforce CRM

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $199,000
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
