We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Special Credit Unit - WCRM-HK HASE TO GSC GZ.

Principal responsibilities:

Loan Workout roles develop, plan and implements practices and procedures to minimize loan charge-offs from adversely graded loans. They also develop, plan and implement strategies to recover from borrowers whose non-performing loans have been charged off.

Role holders will carry out activities that will include most of the following:

Directly influencing the operational effectiveness of the functional/functional unit.Co-ordinate and manage projects; typically working on large, moderately complex projects/assignments.Management responsibility for a team, including people, objective setting and performance.Supporting decisions through advice, counsel or services in area of specialization.Being accountable for delivery against prescribed targets, budgets and resourcing and responsible for the volume, quality, and timeliness of end results.Acting as initial point of escalation for team members.Adhering to and actively supporting established policies and procedures in own team.Supporting change initiatives and embedding change initiatives within own team.

(e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)

The aim of this job is to contribute to the effective management of distressed relationships in Hang Seng Bank Special Credit Unit by supporting the management of relations by regular and timely creation of CARM applications, Security Apportionment/Impairment Worksheets and data entry and approval.

Role activities: The jobholder to be primarily responsible for

To support case managers on periodic reviews and IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss assessment. To support case managers on managing non performing loans and debt recovery.To analyse portfolio and financial data for management’s strategic decision purposes.To be responsible for financial / regulatory reporting and governance requirements and ensure data quality, timeliness and compliance in relation thereto.To be responsible for designated HASE / Group / Regional projects (including Corporate Portfolio Management project) to ensure data quality, timeliness and compliance with the relevant requirement.To handle external/internal auditors’ requests / SOX and other assurance review requests.To input daily transactional data of problem accounts into Group / Regional system (e.g. Bad Debt System, Corporate Portfolio Management system etc) for financial reporting and data modelling. To provide technical support as system administrator.Participate in the Wholesale Credit Shared Service Centre, SCU CoE local GSC activities.To support other general administration duties.
