Role Summary:

KBR is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager/Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join the corporate finance team. This position reports to the Sr. Director of FP&A and provides significant financial planning and analysis support to the CFO and CEO. This position follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) and is based in Houston, TX.  

The Manager/Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) oversees all aspects of KBR’s global financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis and supports M&A transaction analysis and corporate finance activities. This position requires a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

Monthly Financial Performance: Conduct comprehensive analyses and prepare detailed reports on monthly financial performance, highlighting key variances to budget and forecast, as well as identifying trends to inform decision-making.

Periodic Forecasting: Lead the global periodic forecasting process by consolidating business forecasts, identifying significant variances, and outlining potential risks and opportunities.

Budgeting and Long-Term Planning: Oversee the annual budgeting process and contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans by providing financial projections and conducting scenario analyses.

Business Partnership: Collaborate with business units and other corporate departments to understand their financial requirements, offering analytical support to drive business performance and growth initiatives.

Reporting: Produce accurate and timely financial reports and dashboards for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Analytics and Insights: Provide proactive, ongoing, and ad hoc analysis to senior management, helping to track and manage key performance indicators. Expand FP&A’s advanced analytical tools to deliver actionable insights.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate financial results and strategic insights to key stakeholders, including the CFO, CEO, and senior management, through presentations.

Investor Relations Support: Provide support to the VP of Investor Relations for quarterly earnings calls and ad-hoc investor webcasts and events.

M&A Activities: Develop financial models and scenario analyses to assess business transactions and strategic initiatives, working closely with the VP of Corporate Development.

FP&A Leadership: Serve as the liaison with business unit FP&A teams and drive engagement and standardization across the global FP&A organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a management role.

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide strategic insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Strong knowledge and understanding of planning and ERP systems and data preferred (Oracle EPM Cloud FCCS and Planning, Costpoint, MS Dynamics, SmartView)

Strong business acumen and a results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Attributes:
