Position Summary:

The Manager of Regenerative Medicine Solutions will lead a scientific team to support the continuous expansion of the Cell and Gene Therapy portfolio and develop novel applications for utilizing our products in the field. Specifically, this role will ensure timely delivery of the Bio-Techne regenerative medicine solutions roadmap in partnership with cross-functional teams including product management, quality, operations and commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of scientists and research associates focused on the development of innovative products and application solutions for Bio-Techne’s Regenerative Medicine portfolioEnsure alignment of team’s priorities with Bio-Techne’s technology and business strategiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high impact products, services opportunities and drive successful executionDefine and clearly communicate research and development strategies, business goals and vision of the team in alignment with the organization’s overall objectivesStay up-to-date with latest technological developments, market trends and assessment in the field of regenerative medicine and cell therapy to inform development and business initiativesDrive innovation and thought leadership within the team and across organization to overcome business challengesContinuously assess and improve research processes and methodologies to increase team efficiency and effectivenessEnsure team’s output, procedures and processes complies with regulatory, industry and company standardsHelp to overcome complex technical challenges or roadblocks, ensuring the team maintains progressProvide assistance during critical troubleshooting initiatives using operational and technical expertiseClearly articulate project goals, strategies, outcomes and learnings to all pertinent stakeholdersManage budget and resources to ensure timely and cost efficient completion of projectsRoutinely offer insights on project priorities, progress and risks, and resource distributionCultivate a positive team culture of innovation, collaboration, professionalism, and high productivity to deliver best-in-class solutions for customersMentor and coach team members, fostering personal and professional growth, and helping develop their technical and professional skillset

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Ph.D. in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with up to 5 years of relevant industry experience is required Or, Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and 8-10 years of industry experience is required Strong management and leadership skills including setting goals, providing positive constructive feedback, building strong relationships to improve business resultsScientific knowledge/Expertise with key regenerative medicine products and processes including media development, stem cell culture processes, bioreactor and cell manufacturing, translational medicine, biomaterials, or allogeneic and autologous cell therapiesDemonstrated leadership in cross functional teams that generated high-impact resultsAbility to maintain awareness of industry and technology trends, draw valid conclusions from complex data and processes, conceptualize future products or follow up stepsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within organizationAbility to identify and define process improvement procedures Previous work in a GMP manufacturing environment is desired
