Let’s define tomorrow together.  Job overview and responsibilitiesTo provide business leadership, operational direction and quality control procedures and ensure that aircraft inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations and the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMPs)Position is a supervisory member of the Air Carriers Inspection Unit in compliance with 14CFR121.369(8) and 14CFR121.371b and as such has inspection decision authority and responsibilityParticipates as a partner with the overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effectiveMonitor and manage Daily Operational plan execution and follow upMonitor and control compliance of FAA Approved Required Inspections and other Inspection tasks performedMonitor and adjust as necessary the Inspection Unit’s quality performance and controlsImplement Continuous Process Improvements for processes, tooling and quality systemsProvide quality process support overall maintenance organizationMaintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource related performanceMaintain a high level of communication with all employee groups within the stations

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

High school diploma or equivalent in post High School Aviation Maintenance Technical Training or equivalent Associate Certificate or Military Aviation TrainingFAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate4+ years Inspection experience of large transport aircraftExperience supervising aircraft maintenance or inspection personnelUnderstanding of Aircraft Systems, Engines and structures, Federal Air Regulations, Operator Maintenance and Inspection Program, including Maintenance Procedures and RepairKnowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods and principlesMust be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in aviation management or advanced degree1+ years of experience as a manager of aviation maintenance personnel of large transport category aircraft
