Manager Procurement Commodity Indirect

The Manager Procurement Commodity is responsible for the development, presentation, execution, and regular updating of procurement strategies for responsible commodities globally and regionally. This role provides direction to cross functional teams within the organization regarding decisions in those commodities to align with approved strategies. The person in this role will have a significant focus on a cost competitive and sustainable supply base, driving cost transparency, supplieroptimization and development, supplier quality, and supply chain performance. 

Responsibilities

Develop and implement appropriate purchase to pay (PTP) process. Development, presentation, execution, and regular updating of procurement strategies for responsible commodities globally and regionally.  Provide direction to cross functional teams within the organization regarding decisions in those commodities to align with approved strategies.  Significant focus on a cost competitive and sustainable supply base, driving cost transparency, supplier optimization, reduction and development.  Implement strategies andactions to achieve FY (Fiscal Year) cost reduction goals, including PO-to-PO (Purchasing Order) reductions and rebates.  Support proactive cooperation withinall YF divisions, in order to leverage volumes and common supplier sourcing.  Assure accurate and timely reporting of key measurables. Improve working capital through optimum payment terms. Implementation and continuous improvement of standardization activities. Develop and manage commodity road maps in order to meet or exceed planned goals for cost savings and to provide forecasting information to the organization.  Lead annual business review process with strategic suppliers to ensure supplier specific roadmaps are met and commodity strategies incorporate the currentstate of suppliers. Identify and analyze potential new suppliers that couldprovide increased value to Yanfeng. 

Qualifications

Bachelors level degree; supply chain management or business administration.  5-9 minimum years of experience with supply chain related roles with a focus on negotiation. 3-5 minimum years of experience within the automotive industry. Strong relational/interpersonal skills. Must willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.  5+ years within automotive or commodity related industry. Procurement- both tactical andstrategic experience. Lean/CI knowledge. Financial/costing knowledge. Master's degree preferred
