About the Team
At the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering division, we develop and design cutting-edge hardware systems for multiple applications, such as search radars, fire control radars, and combat management equipment for our customers in both Naval and Ground-based domains.
The department consists of mechanical, electrical, and Procured Parts Engineering teams, as well as our Environmental Competence Center. One of the key teams in our department is the Procured Parts Engineering team. This team of 20 highly educated specialists is responsible for:
Introducing and managing data of catalog parts in our PLM system.
Outsourcing complex hardware components/systems/assemblies and guiding suppliers through their development, design, and qualification processes to integrate them into our products.
Qualifying new or existing suppliers for new products.
Identifying, introducing, and maintaining building blocks.
As part of the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (MEE) Management Team, you’ll collaborate closely with other engineering departments, such as System Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Test Engineering, as well as with Supply Chain Management and our own production unit. Your team will mainly partner closely with Procurement and Supply Chain, forming a triad responsible for the entire lifecycle of our procured parts.

We need an enthusiastic and motivated people manager with a strong engineering background to lead the Procured Parts Engineering team with the following responsibilities:
Competence and skill management within your team, in collaboration with the Thales Naval Academy, to ensure the highest level of competitiveness.
Proactively managing the allocation of resources to successfully staff development projects.
Leading the deployment and improvement of processes, methods, and tools for the Procured Parts discipline.
Enhancing the visibility of the PPE team within the organization to assure early involvement in developments.
Managing the technical innovation roadmap for your discipline.
Guiding your team through the annual HR cycle.

You are in the possession of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
You have strong interpersonal skills to manage and cooperate with stakeholders
You have proven experience as a people manager in an engineering role.

You have a clear vision, result-oriented, and capable of navigating complex situations.

Fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
