As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage.

What you need to know about this position:

Independent lead in execution of various project types, either multiple complex projects in parallel but with phased deadlines or, medium to large sized RD&Q projects / activities with 3-5 interfaces outside RD&Q / supports Chocolate RD&Q projects with a focus on contline/Gifting and seasonal products. Lead platform developments and market roll outs for products in chocolate category.Market survey, competition benchmarking, idea development and recommendation for new product ideas, feasibility study, product development, design validation, lead benchtop and Pilot plant trial, support Factory trials & commercialization. Specification development and approval from relevant cross functional teams with a clear understanding of the specification management system and its interlinkages with cross functional activities. Conducts relevant regulatory & legal compliance checks and nutritional profiling and generates IP as applicable.Develops manufacturing process coordinating with the Supply Chain and engineering team.Responsible for deriving process specifications, scale up and commercialization of the products.Ensures consistency, technical precision and compliance to processes and systems. Independent interpretation of data to deliver results and draw business relevant conclusions. Use of statistical tools for data analysis. Technology transfer document preparation and review.Effectively structures and presents status updates / proposals to influence partners or share with higher management (up to and including Director-level)Requires limited coaching of direct manager on complex activities, especially business-related topics or new technical knowledge. Is used to remote management and remote WOW.Awareness of business partners with focus on network-building. Technical network building within and outside the category and across functions such as Marketing, Procurement, Operations, Corporate Quality, etc.Trains and supports others within department on range of topics within own scientific discipline. Responsible for delivering individual and team goals.Management of summer interns/technical trainees’ employees.This position will bring Agility & faster execution.Technical knowhow on various chocolate platforms with knowledge base on SSA chocolate products and portfolio.Alternate process development /enhancement of quality centerlines to bring continuous improvement on the taste profile of the chocolate

Education / Certifications:

Chemical Engineering/Food engineering /Biochemical engineering degree with 8+ years of work experience in handling process /product roles at manufacturing site independently.
