What does a great Business Risk Manager do?

This position is responsible for working with any supported Card Brand, but will be mainly geared towards MasterCard and Visa, and will represent Payment Acceptance as a subject matter expert for the selected Card Brands.Risk Manager may be asked to work directly with Card Brands on Advisory Boards or Committees.Risk Manager provides significant contributions to Fiserv by assisting with updating our systems based on mandates from the Card Brands.Partner with other representatives and management, both inside and outside the department, to assist with merchant or vendor issues.Typically possesses general management skills including long-range and short-range planning adapting to a highly diversified, complex and changing environment, and managing priorities.Must have the ability to assist or manage projects from requirements/Business Case to launch. This includes effectively detailing the project in a project plan, organizing the project by task ownership, controlling the project by anticipating problems and pursuing resolutions, and ensuring a good communication plan is developed and executed.May supervise a number of staff positions.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in any of the following: general compliance and/or risk-based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices, Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering complianceUnderstanding of retail/commercial financial products/services.Knowledge of First Data's products, platforms, systems and operational areas.Proven track record of complex problem solving and decision-making ability.Strong analytical skills.Effective leader and team player, or individual contributor able to work autonomously with limited direction.Must be a strong, decisive, bottom-line and action-oriented manager of people and projects, who can obtain results.Effective communicator; verbal and written.

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:.

Bachelor's degree preferred, orMinimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in any of the following: general compliance and/or risk-based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices, Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering compliance

  

Travel required: 5% or 1-2 times per year

  

Who We Are: Payment Acceptance provides support for changes made by the Card Brands, such as new requirements for EMV or Credential on File transactions.  We are a liaison between Fiserv and the Card Brands as well as subject matter experts that work with our Bank Partners to ensure that our merchants are processing in the best way possible.

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
