Job DescriptionAbout Your Role:
As the Senior Manager of UX, you will lead our efforts to redefine the user experience across the enrollment journey. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Web Operations, you will champion systems design and storytelling to create a holistic user journey across digital touchpoints. By collaborating with various teams, you will implement data driven, user focused strategies that effectively balance conversion rate optimization with customer satisfaction.
Summary:
As the Senior Manager of UX, you will work with a team to reimagine our enrollment experience and to help expand access to online education. You will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to lead initiatives that enhance user experience, improve organic search visibility, and increase conversion rates on our digital properties. By collaborating closely with partners in research, design, development, marketing, and enrollment teams, you’ll help guide UX content strategy, research, and design to ensure consistency and relevancy across a variety of platforms. Your role will involve understanding user needs and behavior, conducting A/B testing, and leveraging analytics to inform design and optimization efforts.

Essential Functions:
Leadership: Lead the UX, CRO, and SEO strategy for our digital platforms, ensuring a user-centric approach in all initiatives.
A/B Testing: Design and implement A/B tests and multivariate tests to improve user experience and conversion rates.
Collaboration: Partner with researchers, designers, developers, and marketers to create intuitive and effective user interfaces.
Quantitative Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze user behavior, identifying opportunities for improvement.
User Experience: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our user base through foundational and evaluative UX research. Guide UX content strategy, design, information architecture to maintain a consistent experience across platforms
Content Consistency: Work with other content teams to ensure consistency and relevancy across all platforms.
SEO Understanding: Ensure content is optimized for search engines and aligns with user search behaviors.
User Engagement: Ensure experiences create interest for consumers, addresses their questions, and encourages further engagement with our products and services.
Communication and Storytelling: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, advocating for UX, CRO, and SEO best practices.
Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our digital experiences cutting-edge.
Team Management: Manage a team of UX designers, researchers, and CRO specialists, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 2 - 5 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Marketing, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in UX design and CRO, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and CRO tools (e.g., Visual Web Optimizer, Optimizely, etc).
Proven track record of leading successful UX and CRO initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $75,527.25 to $161,383.20. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
