The Manager of Graduate Admissions Operations oversees and supervises the daily operations of the Office of Admissions, ensuring that the administrative functions of the office are carried out smoothly and that departmental objectives established by the Dean of Admissions are achieved, if not exceeded. This position oversees all aspects of the JD and graduate admissions process as carried out by the team of Admissions Officers, and is generally responsible for the smooth functioning of the office. The Manager of Admissions Operations hires and supervises the Admissions Officers as well as several student workers (who are hired annually). Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Supervise daily operations of Office of Admissions, running regular auditing to confirm that all procedures are occurring as they should.
Work closely with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions and Director of JD Admissions to establish and implement new or updated procedures and policies
Hire, train, and supervise all Coordinator and Student Worker-level staff, conducting annual and interim performance evaluations as well as probationary evaluations of Coordinator and Student Worker-level staff.
Electronically transmit admitted student files to the Registrar’s Office after cycle concludes
Generate admitted student credentials weekly in Banner, providing database management support to the JD and Graduate Admissions teams including, but not limited to, troubleshooting, training, archiving and data-mapping.
Update and submit LSAC electronic applications and paper applications each admissions cycle.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for prospective and entering students, calculating Admissions yields after entering class matriculates.
Provide statistics and comparative reports for incoming class to the Dean of Admissions, Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions, and other administrative offices as needed.
Work with Director of JD Admissions to generate data necessary for annual ABA reporting.
Work Interactions
This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions and works closely with the Dean of Admissions, Assistant Dean of Graduate Admissions, and Director of JD Admissions. This position directly supervises a team of approximately Admissions Officers and 6 student workers. This position also interacts with other administrative offices across the Law Center to successfully enroll JD and graduate law students each year. This position is critical to managing the systems, processes and personnel needed to support Admissions at the Law Center. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of overall operation of the office, for arranging or providing backup in the event of absences, and for managing and adjusting the team workload as needed. This position is responsible for working within the Unite database to generate accurate data and reporting, and maintaining correct information for prospective and admitted students to allow timely and accurate correspondence between university offices and students. Customer service skills are critical in this position as it directly impacts the image of the Law Center to admitted applicants.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative experience and a proven track record of excellent customer service
Ability to perform timely and accurate statistical analyses is critical
Fluency in Microsoft Office and database software, and advanced administrative and excellent proofreading skills
Ability to juggle various tasks and deal with the pressure of meeting multiple deadlines
Proven ability to manage others
Knowledge of higher education administration and familiarity with UNITE and Banner Student Information Systems software are preferred

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
