Responsibilities:
Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for select brands within CoStar’s portfolio. Effectively communicate financial performance and operational plans through clear, compelling narratives tailored to stakeholders, including company leadership, the board of directors, and public market investors.
Conduct data-driven operational analyses that drive performance and actionable decision-making to improve performance.
Develop brand-level annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts. Collaborate with business leaders to conduct a metrics-driven, interlocked process that is timely, accurate, and well-organized.
Perform monthly financial analysis. Produce executive-level presentations using exceptional attention to detail for senior leaders.
Monitor and report on the execution of business plans.
Build collaborative relationships within the business to partner effectively
Produce Senior Leadership packages that drive decision-making, delivering financial insight and commentary based on a comprehensive view of results.
Develop, build, and lead a high-performing team and culture focused on value creation, delivering results, stakeholder influence and leadership development for career progression. Support an effective finance team culture including partnership with peers and the business.
Support M&A activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
MBA preferred.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
6+ years of finance experience, including roles in both corporate and divisional FP&A, with demonstrated success in financial modeling, strategic planning, operational and capital budgeting, and capital and resource allocation processes. Experience supporting M&A efforts preferred.
Strong desire to directly lead and manage analyst(s), promoting a culture of accountability and fostering growth and development.
Experience in a best-in-class public technology business preferred.
Strong understanding of operational finance with an orientation to value creation and core business drivers.
Proven track record of working collaboratively, with an ability to influence major decisions through reasoned analysis and good judgment about people and business issues. Outstanding technical and analytical skills, communication ability, and sound judgment to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in-person meetings.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with strong initiative and ability to multi-task is paramount. Entrepreneurial mentality, willingness to roll up sleeves and get into the details.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
