Manager of Data Engineering

What You Will Be Doing:

Responsible for managing and overseeing the data engineering team and driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's data infrastructure and pipelines. The Manager of Data Engineering will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of data systems to support business analytics and operations.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.Proven experience (8+ years) in data engineering or a similar role, with a focus on data integration, data pipelines, and database management typically required.Strong understanding of data engineering principles, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.Proficiency in AWS services for data engineering, such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and related technologies.Experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture, design, and optimization.Familiarity with Qlik for data modeling, visualization, and dashboard development.Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of data engineers.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to architect scalable and robust data solutions.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
