Specific Responsibilities:

Provide daily leadership and guidance to Project Compliance and Training staff according to the mission, goals and objectives of program.Manages training team and quality assurance teams to achieve the goals of the CalWORKs program for staff and participants.Audits team and provides monthly snapshot for leadership team to review.Design, develop and implement training curriculum, seminars and educational resources for staff at multiple levels from line staff to supervisory staff.Monitor, evaluate and record staff and participant progress to support the Quality Assurance and Training needs.Ensures adequate quality control procedures for operational processes are performed in a rigorous manner.Ensure performance reports are submitted to the County, corporate and to other project staff timely and accuratelyLead and coordinate monthly county meetings, prepare proper and accurate reports.Manages, leads and coordinates continues quality assurance reviews and provides training support to project staff.Introduce a culture of continuous quality improvement across all units and departments.Learn, apply and stay updated on San Diego County’s Policy and Procedures for CalWORKs Welfare to Work, Refugee Employment Services and Child Care payment services.Ensure that PCG objectives and monthly goals are met and support WTW contractual goals.Maintain positive working relationship with contract sponsor staffRepresent PCG in various meetings and events, as assignedDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with community and other government agencies that provide services to our common customersEnsure confidentiality of all information regarding staff performance and complianceFulfill other project related duties as assigned, including but not limited to serving as a liaison to various county functions or assisting with facilities duties in home office

Required Skills:

Experience in an adult learning setting; taught workshops, seminars etc. 3 years in teaching adults required.Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced environment.High-Self-awareness and ability to accept feedbackExperience in creating and leading trainings for Supervisory staff.Knowledge of incorporating feedback and quality improvement to project teamsMust have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Must be computer literate and have MS Word, Excel, Access, PPT and Internet skills. Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.Ability to work across all levels of management and staff.Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with federal, state and county agencies as well as the public.Ability to partner with and motivate participants including those with both physical and/or mental disabilities.Display a professional level of empathy for participants and respect for cultural differences.Effectively prepare materials and respond to inquiries from representatives of federal and local oversight agenciesOther duties as assigned to support CalWORKs Project business needs.

Required Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree strongly preferred; an associate's degree level education requiredExperience in coaching and development required.Experience in creating adequate quality control procedures in alignment with San Diego County policy.At least 4 years of experience in training/workforce developmentAbility to travel between offices in El Cajon, San Diego, and Chula Vista.

Working Conditions

Office SettingAbility to travel between San Diego’s South, Central and East regions to support CalWORKs Project and provide team oversite.

PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: 

$63, 300 - 119,800 yearly and a potential discretionary bonus up to 10%.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
