**Interventional -** The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We place a strategic emphasis on complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, bone access, specialty biologic treatments and cardiac assist. Our current Interventional products include a broad range of clinically relevant solutions, such as our GuideLiner® and Turnpike® Catheters, AC3 Optimus™ Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and OnControl® Powered Bone Access System. **Position Summary**
Teleflex people managers use Leadership, Clinical Acumen, and Business Acumen to lead and develop their Clinical Medical Affairs team to consistently deliver high-value results and capability. They must be well-planned and organized situational leaders and decision-makers who use data, compassion, and accountability to develop a culture of teamwork and results.
The Manager of Clinical Affairs partners with the commercial organization to support the safe and effective of the Teleflex MCS product portfolio. The MCA is responsible for managing the execution of education/scientific presentation development and delivery, peer to peer exchange, comprehensive needs assessments and regional training plans, clinical objection handling, and management of clinical call line and off-label inquiries.
When required, the incumbent will support the team and may also serve as a medical scientific liaison for accounts requiring advanced clinical training, and post-installation training needs to advance and/or maintain stages within the product adoption cycle. This role plays a pivotal position in supporting customer experience and patient centric care.
The MCA works closely with CMA leadership to support team deployment during society engagements facilitating the exchange of scientific information in close collaboration with the broader clinical affairs interventional team.
**Principal Responsibilities**
• Manage direct reports to include development, and onboarding team members to support the clinical affairs needs of the MCS franchise.
• Support customer needs, basic and advanced product and procedural training and required customer follow up.
• Identify and expand the customer base through professional networking, consultation related to best practices and the appropriate use of Teleflex products, and timely professional follow-up.
• Keep current with scientific literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, competitive landscape, and industry trends and communicate with sales management, marketing, and other appropriate corporate departments.
• Manages annual need assessment for educational, scientific, and identified local, regional, and national society meetings.
• Overseas management and monitoring of the clinical call line.
• Ensure direct reports handle off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy & local legal regulations
• Manage utilization of HCPs in accordance with Teleflex IPPs.
• Supports team in training needs of internal/external customers on the proper use of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump/Catheter products in accordance with each IFU, Operator’s Manual, relevant policy and procedures,
• evidence- based practice guidelines and mandated regulatory requirements. Such as scientific exchange when appropriate.
• Oversee support needed for MCS clinical onboarding for new commercial team members.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Research and Development on key projects and initiatives, the CAS utilizes critical thinking skills to collect data, analyze and problem solve, considering a variety of factors, exercising good judgment within defined Teleflex policies, procedures, and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Ensure collaboration with MCS franchise SME’s to build and support infrastructure for speaker programs supporting Teleflex Academy, webinars, training content, and programs.
• Coordinate and participate in content development and review of education material as needed by Interventional BU or CMA.
• Manage all business associated administrative tasks and responsibilities to support job related activities to include strict adherence to the Teleflex Medical T&E policies and procedures, timely filing of required and/or requested reports, and documentation of activities via approved documents and forms.

• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and standards.
**Education / Experience Requirements**
• Must have current licensure, and credentials as applicable for clinical specialty.
• Bachelors’ degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience managing direct reports.
• Minimum of five years Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery/MCS experience in Critical Care, with experience using IABPs.
• Minimum of three years in Medical Device industry supporting Clinical and Medical Affairs, strongly preferred.
**Specialized Skills / Other Requirements**
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to troubleshoot medical device applications during invasive procedural settings are necessary.
• Strong written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
• Strong leadership skills are required with an aptitude for motivating clinicians and providing clinical support to all Teleflex employees.

• Proven ability to interact with different specialties within a hospital and deliver complex and technical subject matter to clinicians in the hospital or clinical setting.
• Self-directed, able to work independently and handle multiple projects concurrently to function in a fast paced, high growth environment.
• Strong problem solving/analytical skills and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, professional communication, and compelling presentation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations/situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and computer technology including mobile platforms.
• Ability to carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs. and lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the job. Depending on customer/site requirements, vendor credentials may require the employee to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination.
