Manager Nursing

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s).  Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.  Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications:

Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas Bachelor's Degree in Nursing for: Hospital/Clinic Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program) upon hire 3 years Professional Nursing experience 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing for Staffing Operations Nurse Manager Master's Degree in Nursing for: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Pediatric Emergency Department Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit Master's Degree for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research Specialty certification related to practice upon hire Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association upon hire National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices) upon hire Supervisory/leadership experience
