QA Engineering Mgmt 3 Role: The Role of the Manager in NPI Engineering department is to lead, guide and authorize Engineers and Senior Engineers to develop the product and test yield and to reduce the scrap and downtime. Performing Continuous Process Improvement activities including DFx reviews, process capability studies, new product introduction (NPI) readiness, and using PFMEA tools. To maintain and improve the test quality and drive the Organization to meet the required KPI’s. Academic Qualification / Job Qualification: Diploma in EEE/ECE/E & I with above 20 years experience and above (or) BE in EEE/ECR or E & I with more than 18 years experience and above. Skills / competence required to perform the Job : Hard Working and Flexible. Knowledge in GC Prevue. Having good analysis skill for solving the problem. Knowledge of 8D, 4M, CAPA, Six Sigma problem Solving methodology. Responsibilities: Identification of capability gaps prior to order acceptance, and development of mitigation plans for identified gaps. Implementation of an effective continuous improvement process for escape prevention. Development of tools to support the quoting/order acceptance process based upon product attributes. Work with Engineering design teams to improve NPI and time to market initiatives. Participate/Drive the DFx (design feedback) process. Designs Test Fixtures and Equipments. Prepares test and diagnostic programs. Downtime reduction. Co-ordinate with CFT for NPI yield improvement. CAPA need to be provided for NPI related issues. Productivity improvement. Active participation in EHS related activities like Identification of aspects and Impacts, HIRA, Emergency preparedness , continuous improvements etc and enable to report about hazardous situations to respective supervisor / department managers as required .
