Ensures implementation of Marketing guidelines and plans and leads specified marketing activities and projects.

The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for developing objectives and strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events, such as trade shows and customer-related events. This role involves managing and executing projects and marketing plans to maximize company exposure and generate sales leads.

Core Responsibilities.-

Marketing Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement marketing event strategies to maximize exposure and generate leads.

Project and Budget Management:

Administer the marketing budget, allocating resources strategically to optimize ROI.Continuously assess marketing performance and adjust strategies and budgets accordingly.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure marketing activities strictly adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the region.Work in tandem with legal and compliance teams to navigate risk and uphold compliance integrity.

Team Leadership and Development:

Direct and develop a team, collaborate with internal and external resources, and oversee staff selection and training.

Vendor Management:

Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

​Digitalization and Process Management:

Lead digitalization initiatives by integrating digital tools into marketing operations. Identify areas for efficiency improvement, design, and document scalable processes to enhance team effectiveness. Focus on increasing efficiency, productivity, automation, and digitalization.Oversee regular reviews of the effectiveness of programs and direct changes to annual plans and programs to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Lead Management:

Develop and manage lead workflows, utilize CRM systems, and implement best practices for lead nurturing.

Performance Measurement:

Develop measurement plans with benchmarks and goals for programs or campaigns.Monitor performance, develop insights, and implement optimizations across marketing metrics.Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment with the wider organization and other business divisions on marketing and communication activities.

Other Specific Functions or Duties:

Perform all required management responsibilities including, but not limited to: implementing company policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varian’s business and maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing the immediate organization.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Experience: 3-5 years managing and developing a team. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing operations, event management, or a related field. Experience in managing marketing events and projects across the EMEA region is highly desirable.Skills:Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.Ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.Strong analytical skills to evaluate the ROI of marketing events.Leadership skills to direct and develop a team.Knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing tools is a plus.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.A proactive and innovative mindset to drive continuous improvement in marketing operations.
