Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Logistics.

In this role, the successful candidate reporting to the Director of Freight Management is responsible for supporting a variety of logistics needs across the Enterprise Potential areas of responsibility include but are not limited to courier services small parcel international transport hazardous materials third party mailing and shipping solutions etc. This position requires in depth knowledge and experience in the principles of supply chain management budgeting and data management/analytics. The ideal candidate will be a high touch leader and requires frequent interaction with Suppliers Logistics Vendors Internal Supply Chain Customers and End Users to understand critical organizational needs. Will be required to help define track and manage KPIs and budgetary targets with focus on Patient Care Customer. Experience and cost Additionally ideal candidate will help to establish future state process improvements define and implement long term enterprise goals and develop a Team built on the foundations of NYULH Core Principles and Beliefs.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage develop and mentor the staff nbsp; Must be able to travel between locations to meet staff review operations etc

Manage day to day operations nbsp; Assist in troubleshooting root cause and problem resolution as required

Supplier / Vendor management nbsp; Responsible to manage strategic relationship cost and service of Supplier s /Vendor s e g UPS FDX Pitney Bowes etc

Ensure timely delivery of goods and services across the Enterprise

Build annual budget actively monitor and manage monthly results nbsp;

Create and maintain Standard Work Instructions for all positions and ensure cross training

Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and develop ways to analyze data that help inform decision making as well as staying up to date on latest compliance standards

Manage system enhancements or business process improvements

8

Assist with ad hoc special projects as assigned

9

Must be available as an urgent escalation point in the event of potential impact to Patient Care 24/7/365 

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with supplier/End User relations and supply chain. History of creating and maintaining KPIs Demonstrates cross functional collaboration and accountability with Internal and stakeholders. Experience working in fast paced environments and has a proven track record of adapting to evolving business needs. Experience in courier small parcel UPS FDX USPS and/or logistics or hospital industry

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor s degree in Education or Healthcare related field or a combination of similar education and experience. Knowledge of Materials Management general operations. Strong skills related to the management of inventory control with a minimum three years of responsible of progressive work experiences in supply distribution. Knowledge of specific health care products. Current membership and active participation in a relevant professional organizations. Must possess computer knowledge Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience managing direct reports and/or comparable experience. Strong experience and expertise in Excel analytics and continuous improvement/lean management. Has a high level of accountability inquisitive in nature detail oriented and able to work both independently and within a team on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experienced creating documentation and establishing policies and procedures. Supervisor will have strong presentation and communication skills with a focus on attention to detail

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 – $98,218.33 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
