 Purpose of the Role:

 

We’re looking for a Manager Leaf  Buying to join our Global Leaf Group.  In this role, you will:

Lead, plan, and organize the Leaf buying, Regrading, and Blending activities. Assure the Leaf requirements are fulfilled meeting the standards set of quality, price, integrity, and consistency.Define the strategy, coordinating with Leaf Region and Leaf Director and being the main implementing party of all Green Tobacco volumes to be bought and packed in big size or large markets (third parties).Comply with Reduced Risk Products (RRP) requirements, ensuring all packings are meeting defined standards (chemical attributes - exclusive for RRP grades).

 

Who We’re Looking For: 

University or College degree or equivalent (Engineering, Business, Economics, Agronomy or related degree)5 years of experience in a Leaf business environment.Substantial experience in buying, regrading, and blending of all applicable tobacco leaf types.Substantial experience with grading processes and with PMI’s grade set-up & chemical targets, concerning both vertically integrated farmers and external suppliers.Substantial experience in Budget setting and follow-up processes, demonstrating a good understanding of leaf costing and overall financial processes, planning, and reporting cycles. Substantial experience in managing a small/mid-size team of leaf experts (buyers, graders, blenders).Knowledge of packed grades and intrinsic targets (chemistries, TSNA & others)
