Key Responsibilities:The Manager – Human Resources & Engagement Communications is responsible for creating relatable, clear communications that bring our company priorities to life for employees, so they feel informed and on board with where we are headed. They will partner with senior leaders and other business partners across the company, as well as other Corporate Communications teams to build and drive communications strategies that champion awareness, understanding and pride in who we are and what we stand for. In addition, this position will lead one direct report focused on Talent Management, Corporate Compliance and Recognition communications. This is a Chicago-based hybrid position that will require two days in office per week.
Plan, build and lead the creation of relevant content across multi-media channels including email, intranet, display screens and print materials. Day to day deliverables include:Key messagesLeader talking pointsTargeted emailsUnited Daily articles and contentVideos (in partnership with Storytelling and/or vendors)FAQsDistribution listsHelpHub articlesContribute to strategy development and lead the creation and implementation of enterprise communications plans and content to support our company strategy and cultural prioritiesProvide communications counsel, partnership, and tactical support for key subject matter experts and cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide initiatives, such as:o Executive comms support for VP-Global HR & Talent Management
o HR strategic programs/ system rollouts
o Talent Development & Employee Listening campaigns
o Compensation updates (STIP, LTIP, and profit-sharing) Collect and analyze data around the effectiveness of communication plans and strategies to drive campaign planning and execution
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar field4+ years of communications experience in a corporate environmentExperience editing website content in Site core or similar CMSDemonstrated track record of managing successful, proactive and creative communications campaigns that use a variety of tools, forums and mediaCommunications planning, superior business writing and editing skillsProven ability to create integrated communications plansAgility, adaptability, and ability to manage upAble to collaborate effectively & efficiently in cross-functional teamsProactive, meticulous and well-organizedForward-thinking, diligent and creativeComfortable with deploying emails through an enterprise email platformMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Marketing/communications trends-technology, approach and psychology of communicationsExperience leading teamsStrong project management skills
The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
