Are you ready to use your years of experience to play a key role and lead operations of assets in the Escanaba area, stretching from Wisconsin border to north of Lewiston, MI? If so, this opportunity is for you! In this role you will lead and develop a diverse team with 6 direct and 22 indirect reports and be responsible for the operating budget of the area, accountable for identifying and communicating risks and charged with developing and maintaining rapport with emergency responders, regulators, government officials, and other supporters and opposition-in partnership with PACS.

Here’s what you will do:

Leadership:  Live our values and lead by example.  Provide open and honest communication, show strong work ethic, display integrity and respect in all dealings, facilitate all company objectives and values and mentor employees in those areas. Indirect mentorship and inclusion of employees who reside in area but report to other departments.

Development:  Develop direct reports for increased accountability roles and support the career development of all in-direct reports.

Operations/Maintenance: Ensure that the pipeline system is operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with all company policies, procedures, government regulations and look for additional improvements and efficiencies.

Financial: Ensure financial objectives set forth by the company are achieved and additional savings and efficiencies are developed and implemented.

Safety and Environment: Ensure the team lives our Safety value in all work and activities.  Ensure all employees are properly trained in all aspects of their tasks and responsibilities.  Ensure all environmental requirements-internal and external- are met or exceeded in coordination with ENV department.

Stakeholder Engagement: Participate and assist as SME, as/when appropriate, with PACS partners.  Lead team in supporting the relationships with tribal, elected, NGO and other stakeholders. Actively support the communities in which we operate.

Emergency Response: Assist in the education, organization, and preparation of Emergency Response capabilities – personnel and equipment.

Straits of Mackinaw: Unique duties include accountability for the operation and continued improvement of the ESMOC and Anchoring Standards as well as ensuring adherence to the Agreements with the State and Consent Decree.

You have the following:

Required:

Ten‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and operations experience

Familiar with operational and maintenance practices. 

Proven ability to lead and develop others.

Proven ability to set expectations and performance standards for team.

Self-motivated, driven leader with proven effective leadership and communication skills

Accountability of self and ability to hold other accountable while living ENB’s core values

Relationship building skills with employees, peers, public officials, and stakeholders (including those opposed to our operations).

Ability to present to large groups, speak at events, take unvetted questions, create presentation and media (written and video) content as needed by stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience and working knowledge of marine stakeholders (USCG, Lake Carriers’, Pilots Association, etc.

Working Conditions:

Office environment with extensive travel to field locations.

Occasional travel outside the Area/Region.

Position requires calm, quick decision making under intense conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility with the ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms.
