Job Summary
The Manager of Engineering & Technology Programs for GAF Roads will be responsible for managing and driving programs across the group from various types of functional specializations (e.g., Embedded Engineers, Material Scientists, Mechanical Engineers, Software Developers, and more!) to deliver integrated digital and physical solutions. They will be expected to foster communication and alignment within the group, help navigate technical challenges by identifying and allocating the appropriate resources, and maintain a regular reporting cadence to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties

Steward complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables and unblock teams to land business impact

Facilitate technology-focused discussions and leverage analytical skills to summarize trade-offs, extract priorities, next steps, and make recommendations to drive efficient decision making

Manage project cost, scope, schedule, performance, risks and quality assurance to provide on-time, within budget, performance

Work with the marketing, sales, operations, and executive teams to communicate status, risks, issues, and drive successful delivery

Deconstruct complex challenges into effective roadmaps creating clarity and coherency among stakeholders

Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere promoting learning, creativity, and accountability


Qualifications Required

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or STEM field

10+ years of experience in technical project or program management

Strong product development background with the ability to preemptively anticipate potential blockers or technical risks and navigate effectively

Demonstrated success partnering with technical stakeholders on breaking down engineering challenges in a methodical manner leading to an efficient process across the product lifecycle

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style and delivery for a variety of audiences

Crisp execution, facilitation, and negotiation skills in the face of ambiguity and competing priorities

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience building winning teams – taking into account individuals’ skills, backgrounds and working styles to deliver successful outcomes


Qualifications Preferred

Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Understanding of the end-to-end integrated product development (electronics, mechanics, material, firmware, application, data, cloud)

5+ years of building & leading experienced TPM team

Understanding of the product manufacturing and supply chain processes


Travel Requirements: 5%
