Purpose: Responsible to Plan, direct, and manage the Chassis Assembly / Pre assemblies.  Deliver all KPI’s (SQDCEP), within the area of responsibility.   Responsible for implementation of Strategic Focus and continuous improvement culture using VPS tool.  Showing courage by taking ownership and acting with integrity and trust.    Empowering teams by ensuring accountability and coaching for success  Scope Responsible to Lead Chassis Assembly and Preassemblies Direct Reports : Team leaders and Industrial Workers Interfaces with other functions Logistics, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality. Participates in implementation of applicable projects Is part of the Production Management team & QRQC Interact with Suppliers, contractors and other Business partners Priorities and deploy targets & KPI’s for the Department Leave approvals & Attendance regularizations Assigning responsibilities to reports. Coaching and Competence Development Performance Touch point (PTP) for Direct Reports Responsiblity & Accountablity Accountable to deliver as per agreed Delivery Schedules, meeting SQDCEP targets Responsible to implement Safety in ways of working and processes; promote & drive safety culture among team members Provide inputs towards Business Plan / Industrial Planning Process Derive Operational objectives / KPI’s / PI’s from Plant Business plan and drive implementation of actions in Chassis Assembly / Preassemblies, to achieve desired results Plan & secure resources to meet targets within defined area of responsibility Drive implementation of VPS, Network within / outside GTO to share and benchmark best practices, resolve operational problems, improve coordination and processes, in order to efficiently run the Production Processes Develop production capacity and delivery plan with inputs from Logistics, in line with Production Programme, monitor and take corrective actions; ensure timely availability of resources; provide direction to Team Leaders / team members, to support achievement of deliverables as planned Review weekly & daily production performance, manage variations by re-planning, initiate corrective and preventive actions to realign with the plan,  drive  process improvements; measure effectiveness & efficiency of production in order to meet delivery targets on quality, cost and timelines. Plans department activities, implements company initiatives, handles people     management and escalated people issues within his/her area. Identify staff training needs, provide inputs for training module development, Organise technical and soft skills training, set goals and appraise  team members in order to develop motivated and committed team of professionals Promote continuous improvement culture and use of VPS tools in the team. Continuously work towards identifying efficiency improvement opportunities, initiate actions, and monitor progress Key Target and Results Delivery of All SQDCEP targets, KPI’s / PI’s Collaborates: Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.  Drives engagement: Creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives. Ensures ownership: Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments. Competencies Assembly Production in Four/Two-Wheeler Manufacturing People & Union Management Able to Build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills. LEAN Systems / Tools QMS – TS16949/2002 (E) Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor Degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Automobile / Production Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Production / Manufacturing function and with managerial experience of at least 8 years in leading teams and with Union. Experience in Assembly Production – Four/Two Wheel Manufacturing Problem solving and improvement mindset and methods Manning and flexible manning systems Team player; ability to build internal and external relationship and networks Communication Skills – Fluency in English, Good working knowledge of MS Office
