The Manager Business Solutions – Store Systems is responsible for defining and managing IT solutions for Store systems. This is a key leadership position that supports the Director in defining and managing IT solutions for Store System business needs. The Business Solutions Manager works as a supporting strategic advisor to their business units on the best options in solving IT related business issues (day to day and long term). This role will lead and manage the quality of the deliverables for the team of Business Analysts that are responsible for documenting business requirements for requested solutions/enhancements. This role will be assigned projects and is responsible for the communication and coordination of all phases of IT project development through implementation (design, development, test and production).This role must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management both within and outside of the IT department.
Primary Duties:Serve as second in command and supporting leader of the Store Systems technology teamCollaborate with technology teams to keep initiatives moving forward on the Portfolio RoadmapContribute to the definition of roadmaps that align to long term business objectivesServe on departmental process improvement initiativesCoordinate business strategy with the tactical work of ITEducate business on applications and processesHelp identify opportunities for business units to optimize and find efficienciesHelp translate strategy and objectives into manageable, step-by-step action plansStep in and speak to the Store Systems Portfolio on behalf of the DirectorManage relationships with stakeholders, and key vendors and service providersLead and mentor team of Business AnalystsPerform team capacity planning, work prioritization and resource allocationDefine and ensure adherence to project management processes, templates, standardsManage deliverable quality to ensure solutions meet requirementsServe as primary project lead on selected initiativesDevelop and maintain project plans with detailed tasks, activities, deliverables and timelines Continuously assess and re-evaluate project priorities; develop contingency plansFacilitate project schedules and meetingsDocument project decisions, action items, issues and risksMaintain project document repositoriesServe as primary liaison with external vendorsMaintain, manage and report on project financial budgets, actuals and forecastsPrepare project status reports and steering committee presentationsPerform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and fulfill the corporate MissionRequired QualificationBachelors in business, engineering, computer science, MIS or other four-year related degree and 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager equivalent-role, OR 10+ years of relevant experienceProficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Visio and SharePointAdvanced oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence and work with cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of Software Development LifecyclePrior supervisory experience for direct reportsExperience managing large, complex, cross-functional technology projectsRetail Store relevant systems, operations execution work experience using various technologies:Point of SaleInventory ManagementCommunication and taskingMobile solutionsWorkforce managementReporting toolsProficient using Data Analytics tools and Query languagePreferred QualificationsRetail or consumer products experience supporting technical initiatives and implementationsTeam player with aptitude to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationshipsHigh attention to detail with analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with sense of urgency and drive to work towards results and meet deadlines in a constantly changing fast paced environmentAbility to work independently, and manage multiple initiatives concurrently to completionExperience working in a multi-banner integration environmentExperience managing the work of internal and external contractorsPMP or other professional certification
