Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manager - Accounting to join our team in Davao City, Philippines. As a key member of our finance department, you will oversee accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and provide strategic insights to support business decision-making.

Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship to staff accountantsOversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecastsEnsure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant financial regulationsDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracyCollaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectivesManage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingCoordinate with external auditors during annual audits and implement recommended improvementsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductionsOversee Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense functions

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 2-3 years in a management roleStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peoplesoft, SAP) and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teamsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCPA certification preferredExperience with financial reporting, analysis, and forecastingAbility to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
