Key Responsibilities:The Global Sourcing organization at United Airlines is responsible for procuring goods and services and developing/ managing relationships with third-party providers with the objective of reducing total cost and risk to the company while improving levels of quality, service, and technology.
The objective of this manager role is to support the entire Global Sourcing organization with a variety of strategic sourcing and special analytics projects. The position objective is to lead cross-functional teams through an established, sourcing methodology designed to deliver Total Cost of Ownership savings across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for leading existing procurement teams and affected division stakeholders through the Total Cost of Ownership process and will be accountable to driving incremental savings across the enterprise. In addition, this role is designed to build the internal capabilities of the Procurement division and will be instrumental in transforming current business model for sourcing which is an important element of the enterprise cost reduction efforts. This role will have direct managerial responsibility of analysts in United’s offshore India office.
Participate in cross functional team responsible for managing and executing TCO methodology across direct and indirect enterprise category spends Execute strategic sourcing efforts such as RFI/RFP/RFQs or other selected strategies; lead the development of all related materials (bid documents, pricing matrix, project plan, stakeholder interviews, etc.) Benchmark current internal processes external markets to identify opportunities and develop strategies to capture identified gaps Act as a consultant and lead process-improvement initiatives for the Global Sourcing department; Process map current-state processes (such as RFx, catalog contract management, etc.), and develop standardized future-state processes Manage an offshore team of analysts, providing guidance and extracting valuable output on all above-mentioned responsibilities Effectively manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholdersFind your future at United We’re reinventing what our industry looks like, and what an airline can be – from the planes we fly to the people who fly them.
