We are inviting applications for the role of Manager, Information Service
College degree with relevant years of experience in business research, preferably with some library science coursework. Advanced knowledge of business information sources and online services. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Independent work under time pressure and ability to determine appropriate resources. Comfortable in virtual team environment. Excellent communication skills and service orientation.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance on research requests (company information, financial information, industry data, etc.) using electronic and print resources.
Provide end-user guidance and training on search techniques and strategies and assistance in selection and use of resources.
Monitor firm wide information needs, research priorities, and emerging trends in technology and information services to anticipate requirements for information products and services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information sources.
Assist in the evaluation of external information sources.
Overall support in the areas of contract management, resource procurement, and subscription renewals
Qualifications we seek in you.
Minimum qualifications
College degree, with relevant years of experience preferably with some coursework in library science, or proven experience of business research in a financial or professional services environment.
Advanced knowledge of business information sources and online services e.g., Factiva, Bloomberg, Royalty Stat, Lexis Nexis
A high level of attention to detail
Ability to be flexible in prioritizing multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently under time pressure.
Ability to determine the appropriate resource to use based on time and cost requirements.
Ability to work comfortably in a virtual team environment.
Excellent communications skills, professionalism, and strong service orientation.
