The Manager, HRIS oversees and manages the day-to-day analysis and optimization of the organization’s HRIS systems to improve overall organizational performance. Evaluates, designs, and implements best practice business processes by developing strategy, initiating and leading the development, implementation, maintenance, process improvement, and administration associated with HR technology. Serves as the primary liaison between HR technology vendors, Information Technology (IT), and HR business areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the day-to-day operations of the department.  Develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.  Leads and mentors a team of HRIS Analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.  Prioritizes team workload and ensures timely completion of projects and tasks.  Conducts performance reviews and provides constructive feedback to team members.Oversees all HR technologies, identifying and evaluating process improvements to meet business requirements.Develops and executes audit strategies to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and security within the Workday system.Conducts regular audits of HR processes and data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.Oversees the implementation of project management, system design, and technical requirements, testing configuration, and implementation of HR technology.Collaborates with and serves as the primary liaison between system vendors, IT, and business areas.Manages the maintenance of HRIS security including definitions, setup, and testing.Collaborates with IT in overseeing processes to ensure HR technology data integrity and security.  Ensures appropriate and effective audit measures are in place.Develops, manages, and maintains vendor relationships.Serves as a technical consultant on HR initiatives and provides insights on impacts of changes on system performance and other system workflows.Collaborates with other members of the Human Resources team and Corporate functions such as Finance, Compensation, and Legal to develop best practices in cross-functional collaboration and streamlines processes.Stays informed of new functionality available within the HRIS system and drives the deployment of new feature releases.Ensures desktop procedures are developed, maintained, and adhered to by the team.Performs analytics to determine level of impact and use outcomes to prioritize projects.Cultivates opportunities to improve team engagement and function, wherever possible.Designs, develops, tests, and deploys complex Workday Studio integrations, including EIBs, Connectors, and Web Services.  Maintains and updates existing Studio integrations to meet evolving business needs.  Stays current on the latest Workday Studio features and best practices.Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field required OR additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basisA minimum of 7 years’ direct and progressive work experience in Talent Acquisition or similar HR discipline requiredA minimum of 3 years leading, supervising and/or managing a team of professionals requiredA minimum 5 years of project/program management experience preferredPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desiredWorkday experience a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Advanced -level business acuity with deep understanding of how business and system processes impact each otherIn-depth knowledge and understanding of general/core job-related functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methodsAbility to present project details to senior and executive leadership, as well as deliver informational sessions and business cases to groups and/or individualsAbility to maintain detailed project plans and high-level milestonesVerbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of leadershipTime management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities related to large numbers of projects and initiatives, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goalsAbility to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutionsAbility to develop and inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a teamKnowledge of concepts, practices, policies, and procedures related to HR technologiesSoftware skills, including use of software and web-based applications (ex. Monday.com)Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus other database and presentation softwareAbility and willingness to travel locally, regionally and/or nationally up to 10% of the time; flexible to work evening, weekends and/or holidays as neededSpoken and written fluency in EnglishThis job requires use and exercise of independent judgment
