TITLE: Manager, US/Canada Agriculture and Commodity Finance

REPORTS TO:  Director, Raw Materials and Financial Risk Management

DIRECT REPORTS: 1

Ingredion Incorporated is in search of a Manager, US/Canada Agriculture and Commodity Finance responsible for leading financial support and developing expertise in the Agriculture and Commodity areas of the US/Canada (US/CAN) business; establishing key performance measures and processes for monthly and quarterly reporting; driving continuous improvement in planning/forecasting; gaining full understanding of the total business unit income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows and the impacts of agriculture and commodity flows through the business; and providing overall finance support to the US/CANs business leadership team.  In addition, this position will lead all Middle Office activities related to Ingredion’s financial risk management performance.  Supporting risk management strategies for US/CAN and analyzing value at risk through new technologies will be a key opportunity for growth in this role.

As the Manager, US/CAN Agriculture and Commodity Finance, your responsibilities will include:

Deliver topline and cost inputs for forecasts aligned to current marketplace indices and the terms of existing contracts; provide guidance / counsel on impacts of market volatility and current commodity status as part of the financial planning/forecasting processDrive improvements in forecast accuracy and finance-related net corn management processes; collaborate with the US/CAN Agriculture and Commodity team to develop more rigorous financial planning/forecasting acumen on raw material inputs and co-products pricingEstablish linkage to fee customer pricing impacts of net corn changes; provide ownership and execution of net corn hedge accounting and impacts to financial forecastingDevelop harmonized approach to corn hedge decision-making and performance reportingCollaborate with US/CAN Agriculture and Commodity team, the US/CAN Commodity Committee, as well as commercial and operations finance team members to align on strategic decisions with regards to commodity purchases, markets/environment, impact on regional cost structure and related customer pricing decisionsSupport North America risk management strategies; develop and implement new tools to track and report hedging impacts, position reporting, and Key Performance IndicatorsPrepare and deliver financial reporting packages to various members of the leadership teams as well as the various leaders within the Corporate functions.Directly supervise one Financial Analyst

Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required8-12 years of relevant accounting and finance experienceStrong attention to detail and understanding of financial flows and processesAbility to influence across functions, all levels, and excellent communication skillsExperienced at developing trend analysis, cost impact plans based upon market movement and scenario developmentProficient at building Excel models which can easily adapt to volatile commodity marketsDemonstrated success working with internal customers to build rapport and effective relationships; prefer demonstrated ability influencing senior non-Finance managers and executivesDemonstrated ability to analyze financial results and apply variance analysis effectively to explain impacts of commodity movement, hedging implications and overall connection to cost of goods sold and pricing decisions across multiple business unitsStrong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.Experience working within SAP planning systems strongly preferredExperience in commodity markets and utilization of hedging instruments are considered a plus

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
